.... & the End.

Day Three... Elk City, Oklahoma to Memphis, Tennessee

Another early start to finish our journey, dad and I set out for Memphis! Out of all the days this one seemed to feel the longest with the anticipation of getting to our final destination. Dad did most of the driving as I had been wiped out by the last two days... I did make it to the drivers seat once though:)

The BEST and I mean BEST part of the day was a stop not far from our beginning, Oklahoma City! Dad and I have always dreamed of going to the Women's College World Series in OKC, specifically to watch my best bud Kaila play for UCLA, but never quite made it! Too bad though because Kaila and the UCLA Bruins went all the way this year!! CHAMPS 2010! Anyways, we had to make a stop to see the facilities and visit the Hall of Fame for ASA softball. IT was an amazing dream come true and privilege to share this time with my dad!

But who could forget the finally of the trip... making it to MEMPHIS! It was beautiful country all the way and BAM, the Mississippi River and Memphis City hit! I am so happy and glad to have shared this time with my dad! Many memories were made and bonding with what is already an amazing father daughter relationship! Through it all I cant help but say we missed MOM!

.....Middle......

Day two... Arizona to Elk City, Oklahoma

Got up early and hit the road for what felt like an even longer day because we lost 2 hours. We spent some lovely time for dinner with family, Kay and Billie! It was great to visit the in Amarillo, Texas and catch up on a lot of life! I also got to get a hooters shirt, tradition thanks to my grandpa, starting way back with the very first from fisherman's wharf. We settled down at the sketchiest of all our hotel choices but made it through the night. On day two we official met the wonderful folks of the south with an accent :)

The Adventure from Begining.....

So I am here... all settled in... and ready for my first day tomorrow. Here are some highlights from the journey to Memphis!

Day One... California to Flagstaff, Arizona

It was a long day of driving but many sites to be seen as we traveled well over 10 hours! The highlight of course was our final stop of the day, Salsa Brava, a small mexican restaraunt that debut on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives! We had the Sopapilla of course what Guy Fieri recommended!
